Medicare Advantage bundles your Medicare coverage through a private insurer, often with drug coverage and extra benefits. Maru compares the Advantage plans available where you live — honestly, and at no cost to you.

Where do you need coverage?

Important Medicare disclaimer: We do not offer every plan available in your area. Any information we provide is limited to those plans we do offer in your area. Please contact Medicare.gov or 1‑800‑MEDICARE to get information on all of your options.

Not connected with or endorsed by the United States government or the federal Medicare program. Maru Insurance is a licensed independent insurance agency. Enrollment in a plan may be limited to certain times of the year.

Medicare Advantage (Part C) is an alternative to Original Medicare offered by private insurers that contract with the federal government. An Advantage plan bundles your Part A and Part B coverage, usually adds Part D prescription drugs, and often includes extras such as dental, vision, or hearing. In exchange, most plans use provider networks and require you to follow plan rules. Maru is a licensed independent agency that compares the Advantage plans available in your Washington or Florida county so you can see the real trade-offs.

Quick take: Advantage plans can offer lower premiums and added benefits, but they use networks and have their own out-of-pocket rules. The right choice depends on your doctors, your prescriptions, and how you use care — not on which plan advertises the most.

How Medicare Advantage works

When you enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan, you still have Medicare, but you get your Part A and B benefits through the private plan instead of directly from the government. Plans set their own networks, copays, and annual out-of-pocket maximums, and many bundle drug coverage. Because benefits and networks vary widely from plan to plan and year to year, reviewing your options each fall matters.

Enrollment windows

You can join, switch, or drop a Medicare Advantage plan during your Initial Enrollment Period around age 65, the Annual Enrollment Period each fall (October 15 to December 7), and the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period (January 1 to March 31). Enrollment may be limited to these times, so we help you act in the right window.

Frequently asked questions

Is Medicare Advantage free?
Some Advantage plans advertise a $0 monthly premium, but that does not mean the coverage is free — you still pay your Part B premium and can owe copays, coinsurance, and other costs up to the plan's annual limit. We show you the full cost picture, not just the headline premium.
Can I keep my own doctors on a Medicare Advantage plan?
Only if they are in the plan's network, in most cases. Because networks vary by plan, we check that your doctors and preferred hospitals participate before you enroll.
Do you offer every Medicare Advantage plan in my area?
No. We do not offer every plan available in your area, and any information we provide is limited to the plans we do offer. To review all of your options, contact Medicare.gov or 1-800-MEDICARE.
What does your help cost?
Nothing. Carriers pay licensed agents, and plan pricing is the same whether you enroll with our help or on your own, so working with Maru never costs you more.
